In his historical observations, Al-Ajeery documents the pioneering vision of Hajj Abbas Khorsheed, tracing the family’s commercial prominence back to 1898. Rooted initially in the highly specialized, localized networks of Kuwait’s early pearl trade, the enterprise strategically expanded its mercantile footprint into the importation and distribution of essential food commodities. This early command of trade and supply logistics not only anchored the family’s reputation in Kuwait but also laid the enduring operational groundwork for the multi-generational corporate trajectory that drives the modern infrastructure and energy ventures of Khorsheed Energy Group today.

إن الإرث التأسيسي لعائلة خورشيد متأصل بعمق في النسيج التاريخي للكويت، كما سُجل بدقة في مذكرات الراحل السيد صالح العجيري. وفي ملاحظاته التاريخية، يوثق العجيري الرؤية الرائدة للحاج عباس خورشيد، متتبعاً مكانة العائلة التجارية البارزة منذ عام 1898. وقد انطلقت المؤسسة في البداية من الشبكات المحلية المتخصصة للغاية في تجارة اللؤلؤ في الكويت في بداياتها، ثم وسعت نطاق نشاطها التجاري بشكل استراتيجي ليشمل استيراد وتوزيع السلع الغذائية الأساسية. ولم يقتصر هذا التميز المبكر في التجارة ولوجستيات التوريد على ترسيخ سمعة العائلة في الكويت فحسب، بل أرسى أيضًا الأساس التشغيلي الدائم لمسار الشركة الممتد عبر أجيال عديدة، والذي يقود اليوم مشاريع البنية التحتية والطاقة الحديثة لمجموعة خورشيد للطاقة.
