1. Our commitment
GOC wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
2. Compliance status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA. Partially conformant means most of the content meets the standard, with the exceptions listed below.
3. What we have done
- Clear page structure with one main heading per page and logical heading order.
- Text contrast of at least 4.5:1, with photographs placed under a dark overlay where text sits on them.
- Full keyboard access, a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
- Labelled form fields, with error messages in text and focus moved to the first error.
- Text alternatives for images and names for every button and link.
- Layouts that reflow down to 320 px wide without sideways scrolling, and tap targets of at least 24 px.
- Reduced motion when your device asks for it, and a pause control on the home page slideshow.
4. Known limitations
- The Heritage video does not yet have captions. We are preparing them.
- Some pages are still in draft and will be reviewed again when final content is approved.
5. Technology
The website relies on HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Page content is available without JavaScript; menus, search and forms need it.
6. Feedback and help
If you have difficulty using any part of this website, or need information in another format, email info@goc.com.kw or call +965 2575 6500. We aim to reply within five working days.
